Floating House by UK-based Carl Turner Architects. A pair of semi-translucent solar panels measuring a total of 84 sq m (904 sq ft) are affixed to the exterior of Floating House. The living quarters comprise a 14 x 5 m (45 x 16 ft) cross-laminated timber frame. The interior includes two bedrooms, a study, a bathroom, living room, and an open kitchen. Described as “part house, part boat,” Floating House home sits upon a 20 x 7 m (65 x 22 ft) floating concrete hull.

Copenhagen-based architecture firm arcgency created the “WFH House” in Wuxi, China, out of three stacked shipping containers. Upcycled steel shipping containers were used for a steel frame, which was then clad with a sustainable bamboo facade. The home includes a rainwater collection system, solar cell-clad green roof, skylights, and permeable paving.
